Get all the information you need about Discovery Health Medical Scheme membership in the Discovery Health app . Whether it's to manage your benefits, check your Medical Savings Account (MSA) balance, or process claims - you can do it all in the app.

How to use the 'My cover' section of the app

To manage your medical aid plan, open the Discovery Health app and click the My cover button at the bottom of the screen. This is what you'll be able to do in this section.

• Balances: View balances for your Medical Savings Account, Self-payment Gap, and Above Threshold Benefit.
• WELLTH Fund: Once you have unlocked your WELLTH Fund by completing your Health Check, you can access your WELLTH Fund benefits through the app. Click the WELLTH Fund button to book a healthcare screening that will be paid from your available WELLTH Fund.
• Claims: View a list of your claims and their status - whether they have been received, are being processed, have been processed, and what the outcome of your claims were.
• Submit a claim: Use the app to scan or upload a claim document and submit it for processing.
• Plan: View your digital medical aid card, which includes your medical aid number, plan name, ID number and the details of your dependants.
• Manage plan: Click on Manage plan to view details of your plan, to manage the dependants on your plan, change your plan type, and to see the status of your plan (for example, if your premium payments are up to date).
• What is covered in my plan: Use this feature to see what benefits are paid for by the medical scheme and which will be paid for from your day-to-day benefits.
• Documents: Click on Documents to view your medical aid membership certificate and tax certificates, or get information on using your medical aid when travelling internationally. This is also where you can get application forms for additional benefits, such as the Chronic Illness Benefit.
• Benefits used: Use this feature to see the out-of-hospital and in-hospital benefits you have.
• Application tracker: View and track the status of any applications you've submitted for benefits and cover.

Have even more control over your medical aid plan

To access any further management functions, you can click on the 'More' button at the bottom right of your app's home screen. In this section you can do the following:

• Change your personal details and password.
• See which healthcare providers have consent to view your health records. You can also use this section to revoke consent so that specific healthcare providers can no longer see your health records.
• View your most recent interactions with the healthcare industry - such as doctors' visits or medicine claims made through your medical aid plan.
• See information about other Discovery products like Health Pay, Vitality, and Prepaid Health.
• View agreements and policies.
• Navigate to other Discovery apps, such as the Discovery Bank and Discovery Insure apps.
